Memories’ meet twice a month, on the first Thursday from 1-3pm and the third Thursday from 11.30am- 2pm in a supportive, dementia-friendly environment.
Support is provided for those living with dementia and mild cognitive impairment, and their carers.
Members devise their own programme around topics of interest and importance to them, such as welfare rights guidance, safety in the home and crime and fire prevention. Activities have included making memory boxes, sharing life stories and poetry.
The group meets at The Happy Hedgehog Cafe in Caia Park, Wrexham.
