Can I bring my dog on the walk?

Yes of course. Dogs are welcome to join you on our walk, however they must be kept on a lead in certain areas.

Is the walk family-friendly?

Yes, the more the merrier. We would love to see all generations of the family joining the walk to help spread awareness of dementia.

Is the walk accessible?

The majority of the walk is on dedicated footpaths around Erddig, however some of the walk does go through a wooded area, which may not be ideal for wheelchair users or buggies. There is an alternative route to use which meets in with the main walk – please come and see us on the day and we can talk you through this.

What should I wear?

Comfortable, practical footwear is advised as is waterproof clothing and/or sunscreen, depending on the weather!

How long will the walk take?

The walk is approximately 1.5 miles and the main group usually takes around 1hr to complete. You can take the walk at your own pace and be as fast as slow as you like. If you would like a longer walk, just let us know on the day and information about routes can be provided.

Can I take a look around the NT property after the walk?

We have a NT wellbeing pass which allows us to admit a group to the NT property free of charge. If you would like to make use of this, you will need to register with us either in advance by email dementiafriendlywrexham@outlook.com or letting us know at the start of the walk. Places are limited and will be on a first come, first served basis.
